@Newdreams I've literally just recovered from this nightmare that happened to myself on Tuesday! It wasn't the same level of blood, however, bright red and when I was wiping on the toilet. I was seen straight away at Triage and they did a speculum to confirm my cervix was closed!
I was a sobbing mess and asked for a scan in which they organised so quickly - our baby was alive, kicking, waving with a strong healthy heartbeat. They gave me an AntiD injection because of my blood type and I was kept in overnight as precaution and to keep an eye on things.
Had a small bleed at 3am where the doctor again confirmed my cervix was closed and he was not concerned by the amount of blood or colour. Was discharged from hospital at 2pm.
Was getting ready for bed and had another bleed which calmed down quickly so went to sleep, woke up and it was brown discharge which completely stopped. I've had no more bleeding since yesterday but popping to day assessment this morning for another AntiD injection and hopefully a reassurance scan.
They believe the blood could be from the placenta growing, however, it was hard to tell because they could only see so much on the ultrasound.
It's impossible not to panic as it is terrifying! Blood is not normal but very common they said and trust me you will be in safe hands and the best place once you are seen. I hope everything will be ok, please be kind to yourself ❤️
Can you phone Triage as opposed to EPU? Since you are past 12 weeks they should see you at the main hospital. Big hugs from me x
