Found out recently that I am pregnant after a missed miscarriage and ectopic, have also been struggling to conceive due to PCOS! I am so nervous but excited at the same time as I have a good feeling this time round. My due date is currently 18th July and was wondering if anyone was due around the same time would like to join this thread for some support on this journey? Much love ❤️

I'm from Yorkshire!

ChinChilly · 12/11/2021 12:27

@Queenandslim I'm 30, me and OH pretty much agreed on 2 but then if they are both the same gender may go for a third... unlikely though!

Queenandslim · 12/11/2021 12:31

@ChinChilly you still have plenty of time to work with if you want 3! Grin

eastview · 12/11/2021 12:32

I'm 26 and we are going to stop at 1 I think! Always thought I'd have 2 but after MC and ectopic I don't want to put myself through it again after having a baby! I find pregnancy very stressful and not enjoyable at all 😂

@eastview Thanks for the welcome!

I'm in NI as well (@al1n ) - about 10 miles away from Omagh!

al1n · 12/11/2021 12:41

@MimiArm wow we're seriously over represented 😂

ChinChilly · 12/11/2021 12:43

@Queenandslim I always thought I only wanted 1 OH would have loads but i agree with @eastview may stop at 1 it's been a stressful journey as it is might not be up for it again 🤣

Queenandslim · 12/11/2021 13:53

@eastview @ChinChilly same! I originally wanted two but when TTC I actually started to think I'd be happy to have at least one. Especially having had a miscarriage before.

I don't know about you guys but when TTC I read a lot about odds of getting pregnant and the journey of the fertilised egg to actually implanting and at the time I thought Jesus what a process, anyone who has got pregnant has beat some odds!

Queenandslim · 12/11/2021 13:55

@eastview @ChinChilly and also I really wish you guys the best!! I am totally rooting for you both!!

ChinChilly · 12/11/2021 14:02

@Queenandslim I know the more I read about it the more I wonder how any healthy babies are actually born... it's a hell of a process!! Ahh thank you rooting for you too!

eastview · 12/11/2021 14:19

Thank you @Queenandslim you too!! It's just so nice to have support isn't it, from people who actually understand how stressful it is 😂🙏

@al1n I know, right! Nice to have another NI person though 😊 When did you find out?

We were away for our first wedding anniversary last week and I had a feeling. I tested on Monday and got a faint positive but I thought it might be the leftover hcg hormones from the trigger shot. I wasn't supposed to test until today 🙊

I kept testing everyday and the line was getting darker so I knew it was real. I'm only 13 DPO though today so very early!!

As I'm now 40 and this journey has taken so long, I'd be delighted if we were having twins I have to say (but I'm sure I would also poo myself if that's the case)!

Are any of you ladies on Cyclogest or Clexane? I've been on Cyclogest for almost two weeks and all going fine. I'll be starting Clexane injections on Monday though and I'm a bit apprehensive of injecting myself everyday!

Lollipop95 · 12/11/2021 15:25

@eastview I'm from Burton-on-Trent so east Midlands!

al1n · 12/11/2021 15:28

@MimiArm I found out on Monday too! I'm still breastfeeding my toddler so my cycles are up the left. I started tracking this month with the idea to start trying for #2 in the new year. The week after I got my positive OPKs we DTD twice. We were away the weekend for a family party and I got a funny feeling so thought I'll test to rule it out. Course it was bloody positive! Delighted tho very shocked!

Queenandslim · 12/11/2021 15:48

@eastview it really is nice indeed to nice to have people to talk to about it!

VWGolfmk2 · 12/11/2021 16:36

I'm due 17th July Smile.

This was a wee surprise as we'd decided to hold off trying again til after Christmas, think my ovulation must have been all over the place after last mc, so was not expecting this!

Wasn't going to join any threads or forums yet as I've had 2 consecutive losses this year and am extremely anxious. But it can be helpful too to chat to others in the same boat.

I've just been prescribed cyclogest pessaries, does anyone have experience with these?

Weredone · 12/11/2021 16:37

Hope you don’t mind me joining in- due date is the 19th of July I think! I’m still in shock as like @al1n we weren’t going to properly start trying until the new year and we only DTD once last month Blush This will be our second but I’m feeling much more anxious this time around- I don’t know if it’s just because I know more of what’s coming and I was quite blissfully ignorant the first time 😬!

VWGolfmk2 · 12/11/2021 16:42

I live on the west coast of Scotland not far from glasgow, DP is from Lisburn originally so I feel some affinity with the NI contingent! *waves across the water.
Im 42 and if this works out it's my first baby, DP has two lovely teens.

VWGolfmk2 · 12/11/2021 16:45

@MimiArm
With the cyclogest, is it normal that it kind of leaks out? I'm worried it's not absorbing fully and I'm not putting it in high enough It's pretty messy.

MimiArm · 12/11/2021 17:37

@VWGolfmk2 👋🏻 Hey! Congrats to you. My experience of Cyclogest so far is that it's leaking out. I can feel it coming out like a heavy discharge at times (TMI). It panics me sometimes and I go to check expecting to see blood but no! So no need to worry, it must be normal!

al1n · 12/11/2021 17:41

@Weredone @VWGolfmk2 it's a totally weird feeling this surprise business, my daughter was meticulously planned!

@VWGolfmk2 I'm from ayr originally but live in NI now. Links all over the place!

eastview · 12/11/2021 17:45

Does anyone want to join a private Facebook group (if people have Facebook ofc). For our July babies 🦋 I find it so hard to keep up on the threads when they get bigger 😂 would be nice to have a little support group for the next few months❤️

OP posts:
al1n · 12/11/2021 17:53

@eastview yes! My Facebook group from my daughter is still a life line to me.

Be careful when posting links tho as someone posted one on the others July. 22 thread and it got deleted

eastview · 12/11/2021 17:56

Oh really @al1n in that case private message me if you want to join and I'll add you on Facebook then to the group ❤️

@eastview I’ll be up for that too! Xx
