Hi
At 4+3 weeks, I had some pink spotting and dull abdominal aching which felt just like what I would get before my period would come.
I went to the Early Pregnancy Unit and they checked my HCG level which was 3400.
They asked me to come back for a scan the next day - which I felt was too early but went along with it. They saw a 5mm cystic structure in the womb and a bulge on the right ovary - but no heartbeat yet as too early.
I feel like I shouldn't have had the USS as I am now worried about any potential side effects this may have on development so early in the pregnancy.
My repeat HCG was 8900, which is a good rise.
My spotting settled after 24 hours, and the dull abdominal aching is much better, although I still get occasional 'tightenings' almost like braxton hicks but I think it's my uterus stretching.

Has anyone else had scans that early around 4-5 weeks and their children been born perfectly healthy, with no problems even years later?

Thank you

Hey, I had 2 x early internal scans as I had heaps of symptoms for a few weeks before finally getting a positive test. First would have been at maybe 4 weeks and couldn't see anything, next was around 5 to 6 weeks and could clearly see sac and beating heart - healthy little nearly 2 year old now, and no complications in pregnancy
