Unstable lie at 36 weeks - admitted to hospital, anybody else?

Hello!
Currently 35+6 with my second baby, yesterday my midwife had a feel and told me the baby is in an unstable lie (not engaged and in my case transverse), and if my waters went it could result in a cord prolapse.
I have a scan booked in on Monday with my consultant and my midwife told me to expect to be admitted if the baby hadn't dropped into my pelvis by then.
I have some pretty hefty scars on my abdomen which rule out an ECV so the midwife thought I'd probably just have to wait it out in hospital until circa 38 weeks when a section would happen.

Has anybody experienced the same and also got admitted to hospital to wait it out? Hoping to hear that my midwife is being over-cautious.
Thank you!
