Hi, apologies in advance for the long post but I really need some advice.

In Spring 2021, I experienced all the classic symptoms - sickness, nausea, weeing more, aching boobs, a little weight gain.. and no periods for around 3 months. I thought at the time that this was all linked to having my first Pfizer vaccine. To be safe, me and my boyfriend (now husband) took roughly 10-12 at home pregnancy tests which all came back negative, apart from one which looked very very faintly positive. We asked for advice from his mum, who said she thought it was just how it looked in certain light and that we were likely not pregnant. In Summer 2021, I had quite a traumatic miscarriage which doctors initially diagnosed as issues with my appendix, until I spent around 9 hours in A&E and the miscarriage was confirmed. I was given no pain relief and was told that my body would "just do it's thing".

Currently, my last period was August 2021. It was a little heavier and more painful than normal, however the A&E doctor did warn that might happen. I've been throwing up daily with very bad nausea when I'm not actually vomiting for roughly 8-10 weeks now. I have had the odd couple days spotting but otherwise, I haven't had a period since the 17th August 2021. My breasts are starting to get bigger, I'm putting on weight especially around my stomach, I've had moderately painful stomach pains in my lower abdomen, and I'm weeing constantly. I'm exhausted all the time, and I've been incredibly hormonal, crying over silly things and sensitive to smells.

I did 2 at home pregnancy tests which both came back negative back in early October, and since then I've been battling with my doctors surgery for answers. They haven't been particularly helpful up until about ten days ago. I have had 6 blood tests at the doctors, which have all came back fine. I have explained to my doctor about the negative tests from my first pregnancy, and he said that this could be down to my body not producing enough HCG to show up on tests. Surely this would mean that blood tests that are looking for HCG would also not be enough to detect a pregnancy?

I've also been tested for diabetes and liver / kidney problems.

I went to A&E on the advice of 111 again about ten days ago, as I had extreme abdominal pain and sudden, heavy bleeding. I was passing out in the waiting room, could hardly support myself, and after 6 hours was told that I wouldn't be seen for a scan for another 24 hours at least.

I've gone back to my GP to request a scan to confirm what the root of the problem is - whether it could be PCOS (I haven't had any unusual or excessive hair growth), or whether it is an infected pregnancy - and my doctor is also doing a blood test next week to test my FSH and LH levels.

Two nights ago, I was lay on my side in bed and my husband was lay across me, tickling me, and I felt a strange feeling on my left side, literally like a tapping or bouncing, it was very strange. Last night, I had my phone resting on my stomach while listening to music and the feeling started again, close to where it was the first time. This time I grabbed my husbands hand to see if he could feel it too, he also thought it was very strange, but it was nice to know I wasn't going crazy and imagining things!!

Does anyone have any advice please? Does this sound like it could be pregnancy?

I am sorry you are having such a rotten time Flowers
I wonder if it is worth booking a private ultrasound if the dr won't do this. It may be more conclusive and possibly rule out a pregnancy. I would be more concerned about a cyst or endometriosis as I imagine false negative pregnancy tests must be pretty rare but I am not a doctor! Endometriosis can cause pain and bleeding out of cycle. Cysts in the intrauterine space can be quite painful too. I have had these removed before. It was a laparoscopic surgery so you don't have a big scar and are on your feet straight after.
Best of luck OP

Sorry you're having a rough time. I don't really have anything to add other than doing pregnancy tests this far into what could possibly be a pregnancy would probably come back negative anyway. I think it's something to do with the range of hcg the tests pick up. I'm not sure on the science but I follow an obgyn YouTube account and she's always saying this when talking about people who don't realise they're pregnant.
Hope you get answers soon

I would 100% go get a private ultrasound. It is honeslty not that much maybe 200 max.
It may answer a few questions as it sounds like medically there is a lot happening with you. Mine checked my ovaries and a few organs when i went for my private scan and talked me through everything (including which ovary i ovulated from!!!!)

Yes get a private scan! Ours was about £90 (Lincolnshire) and some offer finance if you can't pay for it right away. Think you need some peace of mind either way.

I've been battling doctors for years about endometriosis and even been in A&E just for ovulation pain :-( hope they manage to help you get to the bottom of it. I did find with the covid jabs I got cramps for weeks and when periods did turn up, they were very light and watery... so I think they do affect periods for some people but yours does sound extreme. Hope you're ok xx
