Is this pain normal?

I've had a google (obviously) and apparently what I have might be round ligament pain. It's really really sore when it happens and feels like I've pulled a muscle in my stomach. It usually happens if I move too fast unexpectedly like sneezing or coughing.

Last night I went to turn over in bed and got a sharp pain on the right side. It lasted about 10 seconds or so. It was very painful.

I can't help but worry about the baby. Is this just normal for 10 weeks? Anyone else have this?

I have also had this a number of times. It feels like you said, a pulled muscle or that I have caught something on a bone. I'm currently 12w. I haven't had it checked out but read that as long as the pain goes away relatively quickly then all is fine.

It is to do with all the rearranging of furniture down there apparently :)

Very normal OP. I had that a fair amount in the first trimester (am 28 weeks now) even though I read it happens more in the second and third. For me a lot of the “rearranging” must have happened early because I didn’t notice it in T2. Getting it a bit more now as my bump gets bigger. If it feels like a muscular pain rather than cramping and as long as it fades after a few seconds, it shouldn’t be anything to worry about. One tip I read that helped me was engaging my core and tilting my hips in before coughing or sneezing. That means you are in control of all those muscles and ligaments that are being loosened by the relaxin hormone, making it less likely they’ll get freaked out by a sneeze etc!

Congrats on your pregnancy!
