Breech Baby

Hello ladies! FTM here and 32 weeks pregnant. My baby is breech which was confirmed whilst having a growth scan last week. Struggling majorly with heart burn and breathlessness which I know is a side affect of baby’s position.

I know there’s still time for him to turn although am I right in saying it’s less likely as the weeks go on now?

MW says I’ll need a presentation scan at 36 weeks which is fine but to mentally prepare just wondering how many of you had breech babies at this stage and what is your experience of them turning alone by 36?
Thank you

Our twin 1 turned somewhere between 32+5 & 36+5wk, only problem was she turned to breech from head down. They were delivered at 38wk via elcs as she stayed breech, they were far from small either at over 8lb each and the consultant was amazed she'd managed to turn. Elcs was much better than I expected it to be.

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and the birth.

Mine turned at 32 weeks and had been breach since 20, didn’t feel her turn or even realise until I had a scan
Worried she may have turned back again as the rib pressure has returned!

Thanks ladies! I guess while it’s a waiting game there’s maybe no rhyme nor reason to it. I should maybe read some stats and see what the likelihood is. I know an ECV will be offered and then C-section if not successful would be interesting to know what the chances are

We discovered breech at 33w I think and had turned by 37. Look up the spinning babies website and also I did moxibustion. Who knows if it would have happened by itself anyway!

I'm in a similar position, had a growth scan today that showed baby on the 95th centile, with excess waters and also Frank breech.

I wasnt worried before but I am now! I've another scan in 4 weeks so we'll see what happens then I guess!

Mine wasn’t discovered as breech until 36 weeks. I refused the manual turning, went for ELCS at 39 weeks. And I’m glad! It was a good experience as these things go with very minimal recovery time.

I found out my baby was breech on labour day. I really didn't want a c section and prayed to God to help me! Doctors helped me give birth vaginally.

My baby was breech on every scan I had, ended up with a CS. At 32 weeks there’s still time to turn though.
