Latent phase how long did it last?

Hi I'm 36w3d, friday night I started having irregular contractions every 5,10,15 mins I would get really sharp back pain, period like pains and my whole belly would go rock hard. After about 3 hours of this I called triage and she told me to try and have a bath, paracetamol and try to rest if still happening or getting stronger to call back and said this is probably latent phase. All those things didn't stop it but a few hours later they did ease off and stop. No contractions all of Saturday and Saturday night just a lot of pressure on my pelvis, same thing Sunday during the day but at night it started all over again lasted about 6 hours they'd be regular every 10 mins and then irregular and then regular and then ease off by early morning and same thing again yesterday also been having a lot of discharge since Friday or parts of mucus plug? Could these be just BH and I'm being a woss? But I thought BH would go away if you move about or have a bath. Just feeling frustrated and tired surely can't be having this for another 4 weeks? Anyone been through same thing and have any advice? Could this be the start of labour and if it is could it still go on for weeks ?

I had more than a week of this with my first pregnancy before the baby arrived. Found it really frustrating, as it was pretty tiring, mentally draining and low-level pain is no fun. Then one day it turned into proper regular contractions and baby arrived the next day. Was overdue though.

Due again next week and have been having a combination of braxton hicks (sometimes painless, sometimes uncomfortable) as well as more painful tightenings for weeks. But nothing regular!

Hope you aren’t too uncomfortable.

So glad to hear I'm not the only one! It's so draining isn't it find myself getting upset over the littlest things aswell, think just overall frustrated and fed up. I've not had any tonight so far guess we will see how long this will go on for. Keeping all my fingers crossed he comes sooner than later.

Hope you have a speedy labour this time around I've heard that second time around is much quicker!
