Any positive outcomes from early scan fears?

Hi, hoping you'll be able to sooth my frayed nerves! I'm 8weeks going by last period but...had t/v scan due to ectopic fears 2 weeks ago and they said 5 weeks with a gestational sac and yolk sac, thankfully in the right place. Had another t/v scan today and some progress: now with a 2mm fetal pole but no heartbeat. I'm so confused. Was I only 4 weeks along at first scan, and 6 weeks now? That would marry up with my possible conception dates however the lack of a heartbeat has my brain frothing in panic and I'm admittedly a neurotic mess currently. Just so worried for little bean.

LMP dates only really work for standard 28 day cycles. If you ovulated late it is possible you were much further behind than you thought. I hope it all works out for you OP x

I had a scan at 6 weeks but was dated 4 weeks. Was sure of my dates so was sure I would miscarry. Had a scan every week for the next 3 weeks when I hit 7 weeks where there was then a heartbeat. That little bean is now 6 months old.

I'm going through same situation I had a private scan 29/10 7 weeks 3 days no yolk and no baby went to hospital 2/11 they were measuring me 5 1/2 weeks there was start of a baby but yolk sac was big compared to baby I went back on the 9th and the baby has grew 2mm but still no heartbeat and should have been a lot bigger I've to go back next week for another scan my nerves are shattered mental torture not knowing what's happening .

I truly hope that all is well for you and your little peanut. 💜Unfortunately I started lightly spotting Wednesday- it went away, but then heavier on Thursday and even heavier today with moderate period like cramping. Complete loss of all pregnancy symptoms. A scan will likely confirm that our bean wasn't ready for this world. I'll keep you in my thoughts next week, please update and hopefully you'll have good news and a strong heartbeat to hear.

Thank you @lawandgin the cramps are getting steadily worse, I can feel in my bones that little bean has left us, but there's a tiny piece of hope in our hearts holding out for any good news.

@JenniferR2021 epas has me booked in for monday, they have decided to stick with that scan date and allow nature to take its course over the weekend. I can't stress how sincere my wishes are for you to get the best news on Tuesday. Praying you get your heartbeat!

I'm so sorry @PodgyPanda. One the one hand I want to say don't give up yet, but on the other I am a big believer in gut feeling. If your worst fears are confirmed next week then you are in my thoughts. I hope this weekend isn't too awful for you x

I can't thank you all enough. 💜 Today we have had confirmation of our loss. An incomplete miscarriage. I'd like to have this as naturally as possible, so will have another scan next week and go from there. Our little bean had stopped growing at 6 weeks and 2 days. The best weeks of my life were spent with little bean and I'll never forget them.

I'm still no further forward the baby has grew but still no heartbeat I've to go back next week 😭

Oh no that's not the news you were hoping for and I'm sending big hugs your way. It may all be ok, sometimes they can pick up heartbeats a little later and sometimes a little sooner. As long as you still have pregnancy symptoms and no cramping or bleeding then things just might be taking longer, the fact that they've grown at all must be a good sign, there had been no growth between my scan last week and yesterday. I know it's really hard to be, but try and stay positive. Always here if you need to talk xxx

I started bleeding today after hospital 😭i hope you are ok @PodgyPanda I've took rest of week off work can't face it and another week of not knowing what's going on I'm here too for a chat xxx
