Vaginal Discharge - Snot Like - TMI, apologies!

Evening, hope some of you are still about...

I'm probably being silly and paranoid but I am really worried as just had a big mucus-y snot like blob come out of me. It was odourless, totally gross and have never had anything quite like it. I'm 27 weeks pregnant.

Is this normal? Any advice very helpful!!

okay, don't panic, could be part of the mucous plug, or could be nothing (i do remember being very, er, moist in the later weeks of pg). best to ring your midwife tomorrow.

Thank you - I stupidly googled and it didn't do me any favours and dp is understandably useless. Will call midwife first thing.

It makes me feel so icky, this pregnancy malarky isn't so much fun!

i'd seek out some advice from your midwife. it may just be over-production of 'lubricants' and stuff which does happen during pg, or (wishing to inform you, not alarm you) i had something similar in first pg, and when they did swabs it showed up strep B infection, which can be dealt with nicely with antibiotics but has horrible implications if there and not treated.
Go and ask, and be persistent if you are worried or if it continues.

Oh dear I hope she didn't go into labour last night!!!!

Spoke to midwife who wants to examine me this afternoon, nothing more so I'm sure it's all ok.
