Anti-bodies in my blood

Just had a call from the midwife to say my bloods came back and are showing antibodies and I need to go and have them done again to check the result.

Has anyone had this? I've scared myself reading dr google now!

I'm just 20 weeks

Antibodies for what? Are you rhesus negative?

I haven’t had it but did have to get anti d injection in both pregnancies pre and post birth. My post birth was significantly late due to me being very unwell(they were in two minds about giving it as generally 72hrs is the limit) and as a result I was worried I would be in your situation in a future pregnancy. The consultant said to try not to worry as even if I have anti bodies it does not always cause trouble. The potential is there but they said that even if a baby is born unwell they can care for them most of the time and many babies are absolutely fine. I’m sorry I can’t offer first hand experience but didn’t want to read and run, I expect someone with way more information will be along soon. I just wanted to pass on the little bit I was told in case it puts you somewhat at ease!

The midwife wouldn't say until they do another test.

Thank you. I'm trying not to worry about it! Having more bloods done on Wednesday and the consultant will discuss with me on the 29th

I've got anti-M antibodies. gynaecologist isn't worried, they just keep doing blood tests to check my levels. He said if they get high, worst case scenario for me is that baby would be born with jaundice, but they've stayed low so far
