As above - I know I have to buy a new mattress and baby seat, but what about carriers e.g. Omni 360? Can I buy a used one or are there are safety concerns due to loss of shape etc.?

There used to be a problem with counterfeit carriers (my youngest is now 8 so not sure if it is still the case). But generally, no problem. Just check for damage before buying.

Totally fine!

Anything made by Ergo (so including the omni360), you should be aware that there are a lot of very good fakes out there. The issue isn’t so much someone knowingly selling you a fake, but selling you what they think is real. Asking to see their receipt is one option, or there are guides online to check labels/stitching etc.

Other than that, no, the secondhand market is thriving and a good idea.

Yes it's a great idea! So many people buy before they try so you can get barely used ones. Those that have been well used are also great though because they are "broken in" so the straps and fabric aren't as stiff.

As above re ergo carriers. I'd always ask for a receipt of proof of purchase. It's becoming common place for sellers to offer this up front now too.

Yes it's fine. agree with the others.
