Low and expecting the worst

I'm six weeks pregnant today and have been referred to the EPU because of some one-sided pain and a previous ectopic. I've had four losses this year. All seemed to be going in the right direction with this one, but my gut is saying I'm losing it. Barely have any symptoms left and a pregnancy test today is considerably lighter than earlier ones with pretty concentrated wee.

I guess I'm just looking for any positive stories. I'm hoping I get scanned today but if not, tomorrow. Feeling pretty low. Sad

Thank you, ladies. I'm being scanned tomorrow morning. My partner's work schedule has just opened up so he's able to come too. He was at all the other scans so this has made me feel better. I can face it, whatever it is this time.

You're so so strong, you definitely can. You've been through so much this year. I'll be thinking of you in the morning

Just wanted to say all the best for tomorrow @deliwoman1 xx

Thanks @Myselfplusone & @YummyMummyXoX. Had the scan today. The sonographer saw an embryo with foetal pole and showed me something flickering which she wouldn't say outright was a heartbeat.

I'm so relieved it's not ectopic and there's an actual embryo! But of course the worry continues...!

The sonographer wasn't great either - lots of wavering on whether I had a cyst etc., and she was fairly cagey about the pregnancy in general. I know it's very early and so much can change, but it does bother me when they refuse to be upfront about where we are now. It's my body and I deserve to know everything they do.

I don't know my measurements either because she didn't give me my notes and I was too anxious to be paying attention at the time. I'm kicking myself. Thankfully my lovely partner scored us a scan at 9 weeks by pushing for it, but the sonographer was reluctant and more than happy to let me go until 12 weeks before another scan. Presumably that means all is looking fine right now?! She was so fuzzy - just said looks about right for six weeks. I'll take it as a win for today.

Oh myyyyy goshhhh!! I have goosebumps! This is incredible news! Made my day, honestly. I'm super happy for you.
It all sounds completely normal at the moment especially for around 6 weeks. It's also good you were measuring around what you thought.
I'm surprised they weren't planning to rescan before 12 weeks already considering how many miscarriages you've had recently. At least you got them to though that's all that matters. The wait between each scan is awful isn't it?!! I'm 8 weeks tomorrow and hospital have scanned me 4 times already because I'm constipated (doesn't really make sense but I'm not complaining).
Good luck with everything
Congrats x

@deliwoman1 lovely news. Sounds like my early scan when I saw the heartbeat. I was really anxious leading up to 12 week scan cos I caught Covid but babies fine. Hope everything is smooth until your next scans! Xxx
