Big ticket items

Starting to budget all the big baby buys we need. What big ticket items are essential? I haven't had a baby for five years so I am out of practise.
Pram/car seat travel system
Side cot
Some sort of swing?
Sling
We aren't doing the baby a room yet so don't need to worry about nursery furniture.

You don’t necessarily need a swing. Prams etc very cheap on marketplace :)

I found a bouncer essential so I could get a shower (my OH works away) but swings/bouncers needn’t be expensive.

I suppose you will need a high chair etc but not immediately. Otherwise I think your list looks about right.

Sterliser and breast pump if needed? Other than that think you've got everything!
