I'm just wondering if it lasts the full 12 weeks and beyond or if it can lift before.....

start to finish with ds - on the plus side I felt bloody fabulous after he arrived and had bags of energy!!

micegg · 12/12/2007 21:02

Mine vanished at about 13 weeks. I am now 24 weeks and relatively energetic despite being the size of an elephant!

PutThatInYourPipeandSmokeIt · 12/12/2007 21:48

mine has shifted at 8 weeks but still the odd wave of very mild nausea

Mine left at 14 weeks both times, but never really properly left with ds2, sorry.

tootickysanta · 12/12/2007 21:54

at about 15 weeks which is when I started with the chronic evening vomiting for about another 11 weeks and lost about 1 and a half stones

Twinklemegan · 12/12/2007 21:55

From 6 to 15 weeks ish I could barely stay awake at any time in the day. Then it came back with a vengeance at around 20 weeks through to around 32 weeks when I went on maternity leave. I felt better those last 8 weeks than I had felt my entire pregnancy.

paulaplumpbottom · 12/12/2007 21:55

9 weeks

DennytwasNewYear · 12/12/2007 22:02

gigglewitchyouamerrychristmas · 12/12/2007 23:54

first child - 14 weeks
second child - first three months and last two months
third child - it's terminal i think she is just two and i'm still waiting
sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear....

around 14 weeks for me. it is the hormones that cause havoc and it is around the 12-15 week mark that the hormone levels should ease off as the placenta takes over....thats what i was told anyways.

when it lifted, I absolutely bloomed and LOVED the second trimester. had heaps of energy and positively glowed!

TEUCHywithallthetrimmings · 13/12/2007 08:37

the whole time for me too...I was half woman-half sofa!!

ScottishMummy · 13/12/2007 08:53

duration of pg i was exhausted 24/7, sleep and near catonic

kelbel · 13/12/2007 09:07

I had hyperemisis until about 13 weeks and the extremem tiredness stayed until about 22 weeks, I was then a little tired until about 26 weeks, but on the plus side I've got 2 days to go and I have never felt better than the last 6 weeks, so much energy and excited - which has blotted out the rest of the pregnancy!x

ernest · 13/12/2007 09:19

until about week 16, but then kicked in again in 3rd trimester, so had most of 2nd trimester ok, but essentially felt crap the whole time.

I remember clearly being told it would last til about 12 weeks, then I got to 12 weeks and it was just as bad and I felt truly gutted. It did got at about 16 weeks like I sid, but then came back again. Just take each day as it comes and try to rest as much as possible. I'm crap at doing that.

I was told by my MW don't stand if you can sit, and don't sit if you can lie down.

merryberry · 13/12/2007 09:23

til 16 weeks for me

caramelchewchew · 13/12/2007 09:30

till about 12/13 weeks. 2nd trimester was great and now I'm a shattered wreck again at 30 weeks...

shrinkingsagpuss · 13/12/2007 09:31

til the day after I gave birth....

It got worse at the ned coz i couldn't sleep I hurt so much..... sorry, not what you want to hear!!

HolidaysQueen · 13/12/2007 09:33

Probably about 16 weeks for me too. I'm now 25 weeks and feel better and better each week - imagine it will peak by Christmas/New Year and then I'll enter third trimester and it will be downhill all the way...

DumbledoreWithBoughsOfHolly · 13/12/2007 09:39

First pregnancy - tiredness not too bad

Second, third and fourth pregnancies - could harldy get through the day without a 2 hour nap from about 6 weeks until birth with a brief interlude around the 20 - 24 week mark.

I always thought I was weak as no-one else seemed to be as tired as me, but reading here, I think I was quite normal. I didn't have morning sickness either so I guess in retrospect I was lucky but it did not feel that way at the time.
