Is this it? 40+1 and d&v and feeling rotten

I'm 40+1 today. Woke up with awful stomach pain, have since had some diaherrea which is quite an accomplishment as I'm on iron tablets and taking a lot of gaviscon. Stomach cramps have worsened and I've also been sick. Can't seem to keep anything down.

Few little contractions here and there but nothing to write home about.

I just feel rotten. Wiped out like I can hardly be bothered to speak and also quite shivery although temp is normal.

Should I be calling anyone or just see how it goes? It's my second baby. First was 4h so I don't want to hang around.

When I had vomiting at term they told me to come in straightaway to check for infection, so Inwould definitely ring. Good luck!

How are you doing?

Ring the midwifery line for advice. It could be the start - my first labour started with D&V. Have you checked your temperature, and have movements been normal today?

Thanks so much for the replies. I carried on feeling dreadful all day, puking everything I tried to drink or eat and using the toilet an obscene amount. My DH went and got me some lucozade at 5pm and that seemed to help me turn a corner, I have just had a shower and some crumpets and seem to be doing ok now.

No idea what it was, honestly felt like food poisoning, although I can't think where I would have picked that up. Braxton hicks have continued all day but suspect its due to dehydration so working on that slowly.
