How many DPO did everyone get their first BFP?

I have just tested this evening with a cheapy test I'm around 9/10DPO and it was negative.

12DPO

Monday55 · 07/11/2021 00:51

Got mine at 10dpo with a FRER. The cheapies usually require more HCG

Myselfplusone · 07/11/2021 00:51

12 days before my period was due I got my first bfp. I only tested on a whim when I went for a wee and noticed the box which had one left in. I'd just woke from a weird dream as well which I only had in my last pregnancy

Pizzaandsushi · 07/11/2021 01:25

Surprisingly 9 dpo with a cheapie! Said it was 25 mIU/mL rather than 10 mIU/mL (which the early detection ones tend to be) and you really had to squint but it was confirmed two days later (11 dpo) with a very clear line on a first response early detection.

bethabean · 07/11/2021 01:28

I got mine over a week after my period was due. Now 29 weeks pregnant Smile

PutOnAHappyFace · 07/11/2021 02:31

8dpo and it was honestly the most stressful time, the hormone that makes the test positive is so low that sometimes my tests would be lighter/darker and I'd panic. She's now 5months old so they were obviously positive but it made me so anxious.

allthingssparkly · 07/11/2021 06:32

Thank you everyone 😊 maybe there is still time yet, period due Wednesday.

I'll re test in a couple of days 🤞

I got it at 8 dpo. But to be honest, in hindsight, I would never test until af is late again! The days leading up to the day of expected af were agonising, I couldn't believe I was pregnant and I was terrified of it being a chemical... thankfully all went well and I am now 10 weeks along. Good luck! 😊

allthingssparkly · 07/11/2021 08:25

@AP94 Congratulations on your pregnancy, hope everything goes well for you 😊 and thank you x

Feeling cramps this morning 😬 which I don't normally in my cycle!

Fagin99 · 07/11/2021 10:21

Cheap test at 16 dpo. I couldn't go through the torture each month of testing only for my period to then arrive, so I made a decision early not to test until I was two days late. I know that's not easy for everyone, but it helped to keep my emotions in balance whilst ttc.

fallhappy1 · 07/11/2021 11:01

Tested with a cheapie and I had recurring negative tests until 18 days dpo or there abouts. I probably would have had a earlier bfp If I had tested with a more sentive test such as a Frer.

allthingssparkly · 07/11/2021 12:52

@fallhappy1 & @Fagin99 Thank you 🙂 trying my best to hold out until my period is due as I know I will get a more accurate result but the wait feels SO long away! 😫

OP posts:
Fagin99 · 07/11/2021 13:28

@allthingssparkly oh yes I completely understand that agony, especially when you start getting symptoms which you aren't sure are pmt or not. You have my sympathy.

I know it's far easier said than done, but I found distracting myself helped while I waited for the days to pass. I would try to tell myself: whatever will be, will be. It was out of my hands.

I think back to all the failed months and I was convinced it would never happen, but now I'm pleased with how the timing worked out. My baby is due in March so I'm looking forward to spring walks in the park and the longer, summer days when they are little.

Hang in there, it is agony, but don't forget to be kind to yourself too. Hugs xx

Steamedhams · 07/11/2021 13:50

I think 14dpo. I had negative tests previously and it took until 16dpo for a definite line rather than an iffy one

Caass45 · 07/11/2021 14:39

I tested 9dpo and got very faint line which I wasn't convinced by at first. Did another at 10dpo which was slightly darker. A couple of days later got a definite positive all on frer. Now nearly half way through 🥳
I had what felt like period cramps for the first 2 weeks around finding out so it's normal to feel like your period is coming but actually be pregnant.

allthingssparkly · 07/11/2021 15:48

Ahh thank you guys for your kind messages 😊 I will hold out I'm determined!

Congratulations to those on their pregnancy journey.

I haven't got any other symptoms, apart from the very mild cramping I had for a short while this morning.

Did anyone else not have symptoms or many symptoms before testing? & getting your BFP?

OP posts:
allthingssparkly · 07/11/2021 15:59

The only symptom I've had today was feeling nauseous, however this started after I went to Starbucks for a festive hot drink and I'm not sure whether it was a tad too sweet for me!

It's either that or a very early pregnancy symptom but I didn't think you could feel nauseous so early on 🙈 I can't remember my symptoms before testing with my other two children as it was a while ago!

OP posts:
Fagin99 · 07/11/2021 17:30

Everyone's different but for me I had period like cramps (I was convinced I was coming on) and tender breasts, which I would often get with pmt anyway. The period like cramps were sporadic rather than a constant ache, and came and went for two weeks (my doc said it was implantation and was normal).
It's not unusual at all though to have no symptoms at all that early on. Had I not done a test I would have presumed it was pmt.
Wishing you the best of luck, really hope it works for you. X

allthingssparkly · 07/11/2021 20:00

Thanks so much 😊

11dpo, only symptom I had was what felt like strong period cramps x

Dogcrazymum · 09/11/2021 22:07

I wondered if anyone can help! I’m 8dpo and this morning I swear I could see a line, I test again this evening after holding wee for 4 hours and it was definitely negative :(. No symptoms at all either! What do you guys think?

Caass45 · 09/11/2021 22:25

@Dogcrazymum there looks like there could be a very faint line..8dpo is still very early try again in a couple of days. My first was 9dpo and the line was also very faint but got darker pretty much every day.
