Does this 9w 6d scan look OK?

Hi guys. I had a scan recently at 9w 6d. I saw movement and a good heartrate of 170. However, baby still looks rather stumpy and prawn like? I've seen other 10wk scans where baby looks way more developed??

Assume medical staff conducted the scan and expressed no concerns? Why do you want random opinions? Try to stress less and relax .

I know. The sonographer said it looked fine. It's just that I thought it'd be less scrunched up and stumpy at this point?

Looks fine to me, this was mine at around the 10 week mark.

The difference a week makes in those early weeks is crazy! If sonographer expressed no concerns then I would try not to worry too much. I had to have few scans that early and you almost couldn't believe how quick the baby grows.

Very very similar to my 9w6d scan OP! Looked much more baby like at 12 weeks :-)

I'd stop looking at it and put it out your mind. It doesn't matter what random people on here think, what counts is the opinion of the sonographer.

The heart rate was 170 when 2 weeks prior it was 155. Do you think its gone up enough? It's only gone up 15? But some sources say it peaks at 170-180.

It's worth remembering that what you're looking at in a scan picture is essentially a 2D 'slice' through a 3D object - so you can end up with pictures that don't fully show limbs etc. and that just look plain weird if you don't have training in interpreting them. The important thing is that the sonographer was happy with the full scan, where they'll have looked at your baby in detail.

The difference between a 9w scan and a 10w are massive.

Normal fetal heart rate at 10 weeks is 170. Absolutely nothing to worry about, it's going to be a long pregnancy if you keep googling everything. Pick one resource and stick with it, NHS preferably or you're doing to lose your mind!!!!

Looks absolutely fine (and cute) to me. I'm 22w2d now but here's my scan from 9w3d.

My first ever scan, my baby looked like an actual bird with a beak and everything. If anything was amiss, you would have been told.
