Does anybody suffer palpitations & the gp has done anything about it?

Have your bloods been done recently? Palpitations are very common with anaemia

MrsGxx · 05/11/2021 21:57

The last time I had them done was at 28 weeks and I haven’t been told I’m anaemic.
I also wake up in the night/day whenever I’ve been to sleep breathing faster and have to concentrate to get my breath back. But seems I only get this when pregnant I don’t recall having it before

I had to quit work at 32weeks with DD2 as had terrible palpitations. I felt like I was going to faint every time. I had a tape fitted to monitor them and an ECHO. It’s really common but needs checking out.

I will speak to midwife tomorrow and get it checked. It’s an awful feeling isn’t it I also feel slightly bunged up & I have a headache😿
What’s the tape? Do they keep you in?

I have exactly the same breathlessness but only if I don't take my iron supplement daily..

No it’s just secured to you like a printable ECG machines with sticky tapes. I had to press a button and record 3 episodes in 24hours. I had three walking to my car from the appointment but was too tired to walk back to hand it in!! It feels really horrid. As above, can be a sign of anaemia.
