Brown discharge

Hi im almost 6 weeks gone and for the past couple of days iv had light brown discharge when i wipe... im panicking abit as its my 1st and have waited years for this.... iv read that it can be an old implantation bleed coming out. Has anyone experienced the same ??? Iv had no pain with it. Put a photo in... sorry but its not the nicest 😊

Hi this has happened to me, sometimes it can be nothing, other times it can be something, my advice is to go get a scan even if you have to pay to go pravite, you will stress yourself out with worry until you know for sure. Hope all is ok

Agree with PP. A scan will be the only thing that eases your mind unless you're happy to wait and keep an eye on the spotting. EPU are unlikely to scan you for brown discharge. I've had brown spotting that was nothing and stopped in a few days, and brown spotting that eventually turned red and was a miscarriage. General rule of thumb is that brown blood is nothing to worry about it as its old, but do get checked out if you're worried as there's just no real way of knowing. Hope all turns out well

I had this up until about 9 weeks and I'm 39 +5 now!

I had this around 6–10 weeks. Also some pinkish discharge. I’m now 24 weeks so try not to worry. If it’s bright red contact your midwife

I also had this for a few days when i was 8 weeks. No idea what caused it and baby is fine - i'm 18 weeks now.

If it turns red please seek medical attention

Thanks every one...had some brown stringy bits too but nothing in knickers and only a couple of times when i have wiped. Il keep an eye. Rang midwife and she said not to worry unless red blood accompanied by bad pain. Fingers crossed 😊

Hi. Has anyone ever had blood after an internal scan ??? I think i must have a sensitive cervix as iv bled whilst having a smear before but just wanted to see if anyone else has. Thanks
