Girl or??

So I've been for a gender scan today, I'm 18 weeks (on the nose) and I've been told baby is a girl! We have longed for a girl after having 2 boys between us but I've got this niggle that it's another boy!

I paid for a nub theory person to look at my 12 week scan and they said boy, I've had soooo many boy guesses on Facebook groups I've got this niggle!

My question is... can it be wrong at this gestation? The ultrasound tech was 100% sure, said he has never got a gender wrong. I can't help but doubt it!

It can be wrong at any gestation. Unlikely but still possible.

I’m sure things would be clearer at 18 weeks than 12 weeks, hence why sonographers don’t offer to tell you before around 16 weeks. Obviously it’s never 100% though but I’d definitely trust a medically trained sonographer than some random on the internet looking at my 12 week scan

Yeah I know, it's just hard to not have that niggle when you've had so many boy guesses! I'll attach a photo of the scan I sent the nub people at 12 weeks. The sonographer went into 3D for a brief moment so I'm trying to tell myself if there was any boy parts they would have been noticed!

I had a private scan at 17+4 who confirmed girl and then at my 20 week hospital scan I asked again and they checked and said yes its a girl. I already have a little boy.

Have you got a "potty shot" (hate that term!) from your scan? All the nub and skull theorists said I was having a girl, but this is my scan at 15+6 and he is pretty unmistakably my 3rd boy

I mean this very kindly, but if your baby looks healthy and is growing well, maybe you could try to relax and enjoy looking forward to your lovely baby? You will know for sure whether you have a boy or a girl in about 22 weeks. When he or she arrives you will love them totally and unconditionally whichever sex they turn out to be. I hope your pregnancy goes well and you have a beautiful, healthy little term baby.

I've been back to the scan place and been re scanned, she's all girl! The sonographer yesterday apparently receives complaints, the quality of his images aren't great so I have a potty shot!
