Babyzen yo-yo?

I’m due baby no 2 mid December and starting to think about the pram situation (I know, I’ve left it late!)
We have a bugaboo cam 3 that we had with our son and we’ve kept intending to use it. It’s a great pushchair but not the lightest. We used the pram mostly on the weekends with my son but I think I’d be inclined to walk a little more for preschool/school drop offs going forward.

However I’m pretty aware that using a pushchair with a 4yr old + newborn is going to be much different to using a pushchair with just a baby!

I’ve debated something like the bugaboo bee or babyzen yoyo as it might be much lighter and easier for me to open up on my own?

Any thoughts on what worked for you? Do I bother with a buggy board when he’s going to be just 4 when baby arrives?

I have a baby zen and love it. I bought it for travel but ended up using it as my main pram through two babies! I can manage it one handed quiet easily. The buggy board gets pretty poor reviews so maybe not a great option if you decide you need one.

I usually went out with a carrier under the babyzen so could pop the baby in the carrier if the toddler wanted a sit down.

With the smaller buggies the board means you are standing too far behind the buggy and it strains your back.
We have a bee and my 4 year old daughter just sits on the front step.

Don’t think you’ll need a buggy board. Sling baby at the start if needed.

I don't use a buggy board for my 3yo. I find the easiest combination is a sling for the baby so I can run after the toddler. I have a Boba air this time which is fantastic. Really light and easy to put on. It's meant to be from 4 months but I've been using it since the baby was 8 weeks old and it's been fine. I also have a stretchy wrap which I use if he's going to be in it for longer but this is better for short hops as it's easier to get on and off.

We just bought a second hand out and about for my second child and love it. It's so light to push so I can keep up with a fast moving 3 year old. When he gets tired he just jumps on the front for a ride.

Folds into one piece too so quick to get out of the car etc which seems important when you have two children to sort out

Thanks everyone! We have an ergo baby 360 with newborn insert so will use that and get a soft wrap again.

I think I will get the bugaboo down to see how we feel about it heaviness wise but like the idea of the toddler/first kiddo sat in the pushchair if needs be (as I imagine he will suddenly develop tired legs and miss being pushed around!)

I had a bugaboo bee and loved it. Folded down small, obviously not as small as the yo-yo does. So light and easy to push, and I loved all the colour packs and hoods and bugaboo accessories.
