I've taken about 6 home tests and they are all positive. I also had blood work done and confirmed a heightened hcg level at over 42k. Symptoms disappeared overnight. No more nausea, food aversion, sore breast, and a lil bit of bleeding. I am 40 and the last time I was pregnant was when I was 19 (miscarriage). I know the tests are positive and I'd love to be expecting, but I can't stop thinking about what else the heightened level of hcg could be.. tumor? Disease? I have my 1st appointment next week. Any advice?

How many weeks do you suspect you are if you are pregnant? Symptoms can disappear for a few days and then come back with vengeance. Sometimes they just stop and don’t come back and there is no problem at all. Can you contact an EPU to do an internal scan? This will confirm if there is a pregnancy or something else going on.

I’ve always had very few symptoms (none in the early days) with both my pregnancies.

The first sympton i found for me was being really hungry, work colleague joked i was pregnant then realised i was 10 days late and found out 2 days later that i was.

Ill be 22 weeks tomorrow with my first baby and only bits ive suffered with is sore breasts for a couple of weeks, tiredness & always hungry. Had no morning sickness or anything the whole way through. Only thing i find now is being tired constantly.

Hope all okay for you.

I know it's hard not to worry but symptoms can really come and go in the early days, even when everything is fine! Best of luck OP
