hi I am new to this site and pregnancy. Currently I think about 7 weeks and checking out hospitals etc, would love views on private versus nhs i live in London and thinking of Lindo wing or John and Elizabeths or poss queen Charlottes. Planning in a natrual delivery .All tips greatly received. Does morning sickness come and then disappear for a couple of days? I had waves 3 days ago and since then nothing??

Well, I jumped ship from nhs to private at 28wks pregnant last time, most consultants not available at such a late stage, agreed with Mr M's secretary that I would go for consultation, if we wanted to go ahead, that was fine. If not, we would have paid a consultation fee. Don't know how the other consultants do it. Definitely worth meeting them first, I was prepared to stick with the nhs if I didn't feel good about the consultant, but I felt great straight away. A private midwife would also be good, but I found it difficult to find one who was prepared to help without doing a home birth, which I knew I didn't want. Email me on [email protected] if you want more details. Good Luck!
