Close Contact Covid

I'm 7 weeks today and yesterday was notified as a close contact - my PCR has come back negative but I'm now terrified of Covid again.

I had that the guidance means as a close contact I can go back to doing as I do due to be double vaccinated. I truly believe close contacts should isolate for 5 days then retest. (5 days as that's when symptoms normally would appear)

I work in the nhs and was off throughout most of Covid shielding due to ivf treatment.

Any advice/tips?

I'm 15 weeks and tested positive 2 weeks ago after visiting a friend who then tested positive 2 days after the visit.
My symptoms were much more like a cold to start with and not the 3 symptoms that are associated with Covid. The first day I started to feel ill was the day after my flu jab so I presumed it was a combination of that and pregnancy. The following day the lateral flow went positive and then PCR.
I'd recommend keeping away from people as much as you can do, do lateral flows everyday and get a PCR later as well. Another friend was also there and they didn't get it and neither did my husband so its not guaranteed you will do so I do understand the gov rules.

If you do test positive contact your midwife or GP if you haven't seen the midwife yet. Where I am a doctor from the hospital rang me every day to check on me.

Fingers crossed you avoid it x
