I am so sick of my workplace. I'm almost in my third trimester, and my boss just can't seem to bring himself to wear a mask around me. In fact, when we have meetings, he actually takes his mask off. It really baffles me, as he has a degree in one of the sciences and a masters degree as well - he must surely understand the science behind mask-wearing, and he knows that I am pregnant and nervous about Covid.
I work in a school in a different country. It's still the law here that teachers and students should be wearing masks, but the headteacher has removed that rule for our school. When I pointed out that it was illegal, he basically said he didn't care. I've raised it in writing many times, and he just ignores me now. He knows I won't denounce the school to the authorities because he would just sack me, and I need the job as I'm pregnant and my husband has a chronic illness and can't work. It's so shit! I just feel like other people are so selfish and shit sometimes.
