Measuring 26cm at 31 weeks

I've just had my 31+1 week appointment and the doctor said I was only measuring 26cm. I'm so scared. I'm being referred for a growth scan, hopefully they'll call soon. Everything else looked fine. I had the same measurement done 4 days ago by a midwife and she put me at 30cm! So trying not to worry but I'm freaking out. Anyone else experience this and did it work out okay?

If you mean the tape measure, I really wouldn’t worry, particularly if a MW measured it a few days before and it was okay.
It’s a very rough measurement and the scan will be a bit more accurate. I’ve had this myself and know lots of others it’s happened to, always turned out fine

The fundal height is useless, it was putting me at a 98th centile and I gave birth to a baby on the 25th centile.

Don't worry, hopefully you get a scan soon though to rest your mind xx

Fundal height is pretty inaccurate. It doesn't take into account your size, position of baby etc. I've been sent for growth scans in both pregnancies due to measuring small. I'm very petite and baby was transverse both times. Try not to worry and hopefully the scan will put your mind at rest.

OP, I have regular growth scans and just looked back over my notes.
On the same week, fundal measurement was 30cm (100th centile) whilst the growth scan showed 70th.

Thanks everyone! Had scan today and she's measuring at 34 weeks (3 weeks ahead) and a whopping 4lb 8oz. All that stress for nothing!
