Hi all

I am about 7 weeks. Got a private scan booked this evening due to previous loss.

I have had nausea for a few weeks now but I woke up this morning with terrible stomach cramps and very loose bowels. I feel shaky and horrible.

I've googled etc and it seems it may just be a new beautiful side effect or a stomach bug.

Does anyone know anything I can take to help that's OK to take? I had a slice of toast this morning but only water since.

Thanks

I think you need to mention the terrible cramps to your midwife

I find ginger snaps help to settle my stomach

It's a private scan so I don't think they'll be much help. I called the EPU and they said call the GP. I called the GP who said go to A&E if I'm worried. I'm not worried enough to spend 6 hours in the emergency room. It seems like no one wants to actually discuss, rather just pass me from person to person.

Thanks I hate them lol but I will give anything a try

I am 6 weeks tomorrow, I’ve suffered from loose bowels for the last few days, finally spoken to my dr today they’ve said they can’t recommend anything safe to take so to ‘ride it out’ and keep my fluids up.

Turns out it was from a dodgy takeaway my partner has been unwell also. Worst is over now and thankfully bump is doing well regardless
