After all the faff of last months missing period, 4 negatives, I missed a second period and after feeling sick for 2 days I made DH go out to Sainsburys and get a test... I just so expected another negative, booking GP app. to see where my periods have gone but OMG! I can't stop shaking, it's really surreal. After the 4 negatives I have been out drinking (alot) twice, been stripping paint with strong paint stripper, haven't been taking folic acid, no idea of dates because of weird periods then 4 negatives... Eeeek!

PortAndLemonaid · 11/12/2007 23:08

Congratulations! Good case for an early scan to see what's what, I think...

LadyOfWassail · 11/12/2007 23:41

LMP is 30th September (!!) I wasn't actively TTC yet, talked about it in the past few weeks though, but we don't use anything but I am normally good with my dates. Do I need to see GP asap - DH is training all this week but I know it gets harder to date as time goes on. I am so flustered, I can't remember anything about pregnancy!

congrats. yes make an app to see midwife, they normally do the booking in at 12 weeks and arrange various tests from there. enjoy!

whomovedmychocolate · 12/12/2007 21:03

Oh bloody hell, well done. I guess you'll be skipping the christmas champagne then!?

Look, don't worry too much about what you did before you knew you were pregnant, we've all fallen off ladders, eaten and drunk unsuitable things, by and large, if you aren't actually mainlining heroin, it doesn't make a difference. Just behave yourself now and get yourself booked in with a midwife and for a dating scan.

BTW all you need to remember about pregnancy: after about 40 weeks, a baby pops out. It squeals a lot, and you squeal a fair bit when it's popping out. There you go, saved you having to buy that stupid what to expect book!

TEUCHywithallthetrimmings · 12/12/2007 21:04

Congratulations!!
