Were your second/ subsequent children born earlier?

I had my first born at 36+3, currently 32+4 with second and wondering if this baby will come similar time or even earlier..

I know there's no science to it i was just curious to see if peoples babies came earlier/later than the first.

I don't want this one coming mega early but i deffo do not want to be waiting until 40+ weeks

Also, i've been having more and more Braxton hicks which are now becoming a bit painful and this sudden urge to sort/clean everything which makes me think baby might not continue cooking for another 7 weeks.

DC2 came at exactly the same gestation as DC1 (a week overdue), DC3 came at 39 weeks.

1st - 39 +5 weeks
2nd - 37 weeks
3rd -38 weeks

I’m the exception to the rule I think.

1st- 38 weeks born in 4 hours.
2nd- 40+5 after 4 sweeps and 12 hours of Labour

Going overdue was torture after an early one!

Dc1 - 38+6
Dc2 - 39+6

DS born at 38+3.

DD born at 40+4. Those last two weeks felt very long

I’m 33 weeks today and had my first at 37 weeks so have been looking at a lot of forums with the same hope. Unfortunately I’ve found mostly people who’ve had early babies do go longer with their second. My friend just had her baby and we were all sure she’d be early due to her twinges etc but she had her first at 38 week and this one at 40+5.

It’s definitely helped me change my thoughts as I had 37 weeks in my head and I’ve been really frustrated going much over that. I’ve managed to get 40 weeks in my head now

No. 2.5 weeks later

DS1 Waters broke 36wk+3 he was born 37wk
DS2 planned section brought forward to 37wks for medical reasons - waters broke as I was getting ready for theatre
It seems 37wks is my limit

1st - 38+6
2nd - 39+3

I also had way more Braxton Hicks with no. 2 and when she did come she came QUICK - so I'd be prepared!

1st - 40+5
2nd - 39

Faster labour too.

DC1- 41+1
DC2 - 38 + 3
DC3 - 37 + 4

1st naturally at 40+12 second induced at 40+12. Really hope my next comes earlier all by themselves.

1st was premature.
2nd 39 weeks by elective section but she was well settled. I think I'd have been pregnant for a year if they hadn't cut her out!
3rd 39 weeks elective section after weeks & weeks of braxton hicks and false labour pains and all the signs of an early delivery.

Looks like i'm getting my hopes up for another early baby when she probably won't come untill 2 weeks late😫😂
