Does a bigger bump than previous pregnancies mean higher GD risk?

I’m 24 weeks and about the size of 30ish weeks at least in my last pregnancy, this is my 3rd. Does this indicate a higher risk of GD? I’ve always been pretty much zero risk, but my GD test isn’t until 28 weeks so I don’t want to be eating chocolate and sweets and making it worse. I also really really don’t want to be cutting back on treats if I don’t have to BlushBlush

I have zero ACTUAL knowledge. But anecdotally, everyone I know agreed that bumps seem to be bigger (and grow sooner) with subsequent pregnancies! Certainly, with DC2, I stopped wearing my jeans at 7 weeks.... didn't even know I was pregnant! Thought it was post-holiday weight/bloating. With DC1 I wore my regular jeans until at least 11 or 12 weeks and other trousers until at least 20 weeks.

That’s true triffid. With dc1 I actually wasn’t visibly pregnant at this stage unless in clingy clothes, although grown out of high waisted trousers. Whereas now… yesterday I looked up a picture of me at 27 weeks with number 2 looking significantly less pregnant than I do now, so started to worry.

I think the early bump is because the ligaments or muscles are already knackered or something, so not sure about the rest! But basically, multiple children just gets harder and harder on the body! Grin. A gynaecologist told me once that the body is most "efficient" with the second child - that with the first the body is in shock and has to learn stuff and with 3rd and subsequent children the body is just basically a bit knackered! I’ve recently had my fourth baby. This was the only pregnancy I had GD in, and was actually my smallest bump by far!

So in my experience bump size had nothing to do with having GD or not.
