Suffering all day nausea and headache

Hi all,

Is anyone else dealing with this? I spend all day in bed and really only get up to go to the toilet to pee and vomit. Have other children to deal with, who I feel absolutely guilty for being a crap mum at the moment. I think I’m lucky they can make breakfast and lunch for themselves and I only have to worry about dinner.

I just have a constant headache with dizziness. Vomiting or dry retching 3-4 times a day. Tummy pain and extreme fatigue.

I really hope this will end soon. I am 12 weeks right now.

I was like this and found lemonade the most helpful only because (sorry tmi) it’s tasted the same when i vomited as it did when I drank it. Couldn’t stomach anything else for a while

Lucozade and coke were helping but have since been told I have gestational diabetes so I had to stop those immediately, just like anything else I used to enjoy. Yesterday I vomited everything I eat. I don’t think it’s HG though because I haven’t lost any weight and it’s not everyday that I vomit absolutely everything I eat.

I would definitely call your GP and tell them how bad this is and that you are struggling to care for your other children, they can prescribe you some medication to help. It doesn’t matter that it’s not HG, it’s still massively impacting your life. Eat whatever you can stomach. 12 weeks seems early to be diagnosed with gestational diabetes? I didn’t know they tested for it so early. Hope you’re feeling better soon Flowers

Have you tried Coke Zero or Pepsi max? No sugar but I find the fizz helps me more than flat drinks. Also agree with getting help from doctor, HG or not.

Thanks for the replies ladies.

I didn’t know they tested early either or have much knowledge about GD. Don’t know anyone who has had it. I think they tested due to several risk factors and just turns out they were right. I was actually very shocked, but it helped to explain a few of the symptoms I am having.

Any of the diet varieties/sugar free give me stomach ache for some reason. I’m just using sparkling water to be on the safe side. I can’t wait to be in the third trimester.
