Hi,

I'm only 5+5, so very early, but I had some severe cramps and a tiny bit of purple cm which took me to ED last night. Thankfully, the pain became less intense so was no longer an emergency but they had a crappy portable ultrasound there so they just checked I wasn't ectopic. This is the photo of my gestational sac - I'm very concerned that It looks empty to me. He said it was early to pick anything up on that machine and with a transvaginal I'd see what was there.... I do have one booked for Tuesday.

I'm so scared that he was just saying that to keep me calm until Tuesday. Should I have seen something more than this with transabdominal by now? 🙁

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

It doesn't look that much different to the one I had at 6+5.
On mine there was a tiny, flashing dot in the sac which was baby but I would imagine if I'd been scanned over a week earlier that wouldn't have been seen through abdominal scan.
Hope everything goes well on Tuesday and for the rest of your pregnancy!

I'd say for a transabdominal scan that's a pretty good image. I'm sure the TV scan will give you more clarity though. I had a TA scan at 7 weeks & they could hardly see anything, once they did the TV the heartbeat was visible.

Thank you so much, really reassuring

I’ve just had an early scan at 5 weeks due to previous ectopic and mine looked the same, I’ve read it can be normal not to see anything inside till at least 6 weeks
