Hi, hoping someone can help put my mind at ease here. I had an electric shock touching a lamp yesterday which blew the electricity in the house. It gave me a real fright and I have a small burn on my finger. Pretty sure I only felt the shock in my arms, and only felt it for a second or two.

I'm 6 weeks 2 days pregnant at the time of the shock. Now over a day later I feel fine and all my pregnancy symptoms are still there - gag reflex even more sensitive than yesterday thlshock Phoned the midwife who said it wasn't anything to worry about but to come in for a scan on Monday. That seems like such a long time to wait, especially after losing our first pregnancy at around a similar time at the start of the year. Does anyone have any similar experiences that might help ease the anxiety/fear I am currently experiencing? Crossing my fingers smile

Try not to worry. In my previous pregnancy i got two electric shocks- from a light switch that must have been wet- they both were quiet strong ( i was around 6 months pregnant at the time). I worried for the rest of my pregnancy but all was absolutely fine. Try not to worry.
