I self referred to the physio dept in the maternity hospital and got mine for free as well as some fab advice and exercises - would be worth a phonecall to see if they can see you ASAP.

In the meantime, get giant supportive pants - they're expensive, but 2/3 pairs would do you til baby arrives if you can be bothered keeping up with the washing at this stage

I had dreadful back pain during my 2nd pregnancy. I got a support belt which was around a tenner and was basically a strong stretchy elastic belt with velcro to adjust to your growing hips etc. I think I got it from Blooming Marvellous. It was definitely worth the money altho' it was very unsexy!!!

ha ha well sex is the last thing on mind lol. So anything would ok then-anyone brought one off ebay? Saw my docs today and she sugested one but said it would be too late for a physio referral i was offered it a while back when i started getting pains but stupidly refused it has it was difficult to find child care for ds

At this stage - I would just take what you can get hold of - it can only help you I would have thought And put your feet up!

why not search on google for an emma jame support belt - they do one for about a tenner - would see you through.

i bought mine from mothercare for £10 back in july....
Ebay good , if you can wait for the item, and don't pay more than a tenner, see if anyone is selling there one from the physio ?? otherwise hot foot it into mothercare.

All the best, the only thing that helped my back was bed rest....and the support belt.
