Period after miscarriage

Hi all

Looking for advice. I have sadly recently had a miscarriage. I was only 6 weeks and it happened quite quickly. I bled for a week and the bleeding stopped. It stopped for 2 days but then started again. Firstly it was brownish, then changed to more like a period but not as heavy.

Could this be my period or is this still my miscarriage?

My period should be now if I hadn’t have had the pregnancy but from what I have read, my period should be 4-6 weeks after miscarriage.

Has anybody had something similar? It will be two weeks tomorrow that I started to bleed

It sounds like it is continued miscarriage, 2 days wouldn't be long enough for for the lining of your womb to thicken again to have a period.
Were you given any advice or contact for follow up/worsening after miscarriage? If it becomes heavier or starts to smell please contact someone for advice.

The hospital said if it carries on past two weeks and continues to get heavy then to contact them.

It will be two weeks tomorrow so if it doesn’t ease now I will make contact.

Just confused me as it stopped and started again. Just want it to finish now x

I am so sorry for your loss! Did you take a pregnancy test? After two weeks of bleeding I got negative on mine ( still had some brown spotting). If its still your mc bleeding, the test would still show positive.

So I took a test the afternoon after I started to spot. The strange thing is, I expected it to say positive as the bleeding has just started but I panicked and just wanted to do one for peace of mind. It said negative.

I have now been bleeding for 2 weeks and today passed something that I think might be the end of it so have bought another test to be sure.

Hopefully it will be the end of it! I got my first period exactly 4 weeks after my miscarriage started.
