i had a sweep today (40 weeks) and she could only get a finger in which was a bit disappointing as i was hoping a bit more as it's my second baby! but she managed to do one and i had spotting pretty much straight away and still a couple hours later. i never had this with my first, is it a good sign she's done something right?? Smile

I had that! About 13 hours later I was awoken by a strong contraction and I lost my mucus plug. Good luck!

@Butterflyy20 I had a sweep with my first at 40 weeks and had some blood afterwards, the contractions soon started and our son was born at 40+2 😍 You've got this!! x

nanabow · 27/10/2021 19:45

It was positive for me.

Sweep at 8am and had the baby by 8am the next day. My contractions started at around 11am and were very irregular and stop/start until around midnight.

Butterflyy20 · 27/10/2021 19:46

@babyboybluex fingers crossed then! i'm being induced in a couple days due to him being large so hoping something would start before Smile

I go overdue but I had a sweep at a week overdue @10am, lost my plug almost straight after and felt really uncomfortable, got in the bath, contractions started and had to ring my mom to help me out the bath, went to hospital and had him at 3pm. Hope it works for you

Butterflyy20 · 27/10/2021 21:10
