Scan at 6+5 ?

Has anyone seen the heartbeat at this stage? The scan is with my ivf clinic and according to transfer dates I should be 7 weeks, the epu dated me at 5+5 last Thursday when I went in due to pains. Now I'm worrying nothing will be seen. At the epu they saw sac and yolk sac but no fetal pole and said it's too early but I'm really really worried 😢

Sorry you're worried. 5+5 is often too early to see much - i had a scan around then and only saw a yolk sac, but went back a week later and measured 6+3 with a heartbeat. Good luck with your next scan!

I had a scan with ivf clinic at 7 weeks and seen a heartbeat then. It was a worrying time for me though as I measured 5 days behind so thought it was the start of something bad but I turn 30 weeks tomorrow so all good here as of now! :)

Yes I did at 6.5.
I had an earlier scan at 5 weeks and only could see a yolk sac.
My IVF clinic weren't concerned by this.

Oh I'm so so worried, I've done nothing but worry since I got my postive.
Don't think I'll be able to cope if I have to go back for a rescan

I had an internal scan last week at 6+1 and could see the heartbeat which was a relief after a loss earlier this year. Hope everything goes well for you.

I saw both my boys’ heartbeats at 5+6, but with DS2, the OBGYN noted that his hb was on the slow side and probably had only just started beating within the last 12-18 hours.

At 6+5 there’s a good chance you will see something flickering away, especially if you’re certain of your dates - good luck.

I remember being this worried following my IVF, it's hard Op. but you were very early when first scanned, they grow so much within a week. I remember saying to my Dr there's nothing there crying and she assured me for how far I was (in my 5th week also) that what we could see was normal. Good luck for tomorrow 🤍

Had my scan, no fetal pole seen so looks like this is going to end in miscarriage. I should be 7 weeks according to ivf dates, I'm measuring 6+5 which adds up to what epu dated me as, last Thursday I was 5+5. So not sure why if ges sac has grown no fetal pole is visible

Very sorry op! Have they got you back in next week for another scan?

@CocaColaTruck1 they've referred me to the local epu, so that is Monday and they said I should have a clear answer by then. They did take my bloods but they're not going to check if it's doubling as apparently they'll be able to tell with one set of bloods and another scan. Just devastated. I had this awful feeling but I just thought it was standard ivf anxiety. I just don't get why the sac has grown to match up with last weeks scan and there's still nothing visible. She said there might be a tiny flicker of something but she can't be sure and that 9/10 by now a fetal pole would be there

I'm sorry OP. They should have you back for another scan next week x
