So I am currently 5 days late for my period. My period is VERY consistent.. like a 25 day period, on the dot each month. My husband is saying that because those tests were negative that I'm not pregnant. We have been together 6 1/2 years and we have had 2 pregnancies, both were planned. First one was a miscarriage and the 2nd we have our son. We've always been very careful when not trying and have never had a slip up, so this is hard for me to wrap my mind around. This would not be a planned pregnancy if it is just that. I'm honestly freaking out a little bit. I'm calling my doctor tomorrow to see if I can get an appointment, I'm sure they will want to check my hormone levels.

Has anyone else been through this?

Hi OP, yes I’ve been there too and unfortunately I think if you were pregnant it would show on a test. I also don’t think (if you’re in the UK anyway), a GP would do anything other than tell you to listen to the pregnancy tests.

Even the most regular go out of sync sometimes, especially with how stressful ttc is. I’m afraid I agree with your DH and you just need to give it a few days and try for your next cycle. Good luck!

Oh and pop into google ‘period late negative test mumsnet’ or something similar and you’ll get a lot of other experiences with similar situations that might help to look at?

Have you recently received a covid jab? It can send your cycle out of whack.

I wouldn't call your GP. Wait a week and see what happens.
