Snuzpod 4 - our bed is too low!

Hi all,

I’ve bought a Snuzpod 4 for my baby due in December. Unfortunately, my husband put it up today and our bed is too low next to it…

It says on the instruction manual that my bed mattress must be level with the top of the zip down wall of the Snuzpod 4. And it says cannot be used in bedside mode with low floor beds - my bed is pretty low in comparison to other beds so I’m assuming it’s a low floor bed, but I don’t remember it being marketed as that when we bought it.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation? What did you do?

My husband has considered buying bed risers to raise the height of our bed. Or our other option could be just to keep the Snuzpod in our room near our bed, but not actually right next to it/strapped onto our bed.

I’m frustrated (and have had a crazed hormonal cry) as I naively assumed it would fit our bed - but it doesn’t, even on the lowest setting.

I’m so upset. Do we sell the Snuzpod? Buy a new bed frame (this is certainly not an affordable option obviously)?

Thanks in advance x

How frustrating! Not used the snuzpod, but I did buy some cheap risers for a desk I bought in lockdown and they were great. I think a box of 3 different height options cost about £14 - they're very stable and work well. It might be the easy and quick solution if you need it soon

Why can't you return it?

TTC94 · 24/10/2021 19:46

I’ll take a look @JuneauBound - thank you xx

@OctoberRose21we’ve had it for a while and only just put it up - my husband put it up without checking the dimensions of the bed requirements etc first. The return date has passed, unfortunately.

I’d suggest risers too. They make them to raise the height of beds and chairs for the elderly so I imagine there is quite a choice and they should be stable or they wouldn’t give them to the elderly.

What is the height difference between your bed and the Snuzpod mattress?

TTC94 · 24/10/2021 20:08

Well the lowest bed height (up to the top of the mattress) it fits is 53cm and our bed (up to the top of the mattress) is 43cm @Tibtab

@Elieza these were my husbands thoughts too. I’ll have a look and see xx

I bought a bedside crib but like a quilt so was always too scared to use it bedside incase the quilt covered baby. I've now had two babies in mine just used as a crib and it's been fine, just have the crib close to your bed.

Hi, can I ask what you ended up doing as were now in the same boat. Bought the snuzpod 4 thinking it would fit as height adjustable but when we've built it our bed is only 45 and needs to be 53cm. Thanks
