21 weeks pregnant with stitch in left pelvic

So I'm 21 weeks pregnant and around 4am while I was sleeping I woke up because of the a stitch on my left side pelvic area, it wasn't intense but I could feel it and it was very uncomfortable. I tried to change sides (I was lying on my right side) but the stitch was still there. Obviously I got worried as this was the first time it's happened to me since I've become pregnant so I googled it and there was a lot about round ligament pain but also that the stitch should last no longer than a minute, mine lasted about an hour! I was so worried that I was debating whether or not to call 111 but I wasn't bleeding or had any other symptoms and I could actually feel baby moving so I thought at least that's a good sign and then the stitch eventually slowly got better and eased off. What I want to know is has anyone had this or something similar happen and everything was ok or was it something more serious as I read about SPD too which is concerning me. ☹️

I wouldn't worry if it were me. You get all sorts of aches and pains when pregnant. Maybe mention it at your next appointment?

My midwife told me never to ring 111 for anything pregnancy-related: go straight for the PAU at hospital if you're going to ring anyone.

You get lots of aches and pains in pregnancy, it can be quite painful. Baby is growing, ligaments and muscle are stretching, organs are being pushed and a human is growing. It sounds very typical muscular, take paracetamol and take it easy

@ThirdElephant yeah my midwife did actually give me an emergency number to call if I was concerned about anything pregnancy related. I actually forgot about that, it's written on the front of my maternity notes folder. So the cramps have been on and off all day mainly depending on what position I'm in. If it continues tomorrow I'll give my midwife a call and see what she says. I'm just praying it's ligament stretching and nothing serious!

@Mummyme87 I really hope you're right. It's just that I don't remember having this in my first pregnancy which is why I'm worried but I'm really hoping it's just round ligament pain!

@timewilltel more babies you have usually worse all the musculoskeletal stuff gets.
I’m a midwife, so see it quite a lot. Plus my own personal experience. Checking in with your midwife is always good too 👍

@Mummyme87 oh that's great to hear thank you for the info! I will defo check in with my midwife if pain continues. Another thing is and this is just "personal preference" but I would much rather have a midwife that has personal experience rather than one that just has knowledge because sometimes I feel when I'm asking something, they don't want to come across as not knowing so I feel as though they almost "make it up" just to make it seem like they know what they're talking about 🤷🏻‍♀️
