How often do you feel baby?

I'm 25 weeks today and at my midwife appointment was told off when I said I hadn't felt my baby since the previous morning. He was fine but I was told I must call triage. However, he doesn't have a pattern and I have an anterior placenta. I usually feel him at about 4am and when I go to sleep but that it is. How often do you feel yours?

I am 24+2 and there’s no discernible pattern either! I basically seem to feel her move the more still I am! I had to go to triage for something else and the obstetrician told me specifically not to “count the kicks” but just to get to know the pattern 🤷🏻‍♀️ Although she did say not to start until this week

My eldest I felt frequently, they also had a very definite pattern as well. It was reassuring but also quite annoying as well. I never worried about movements with them though.

My youngest, I didn’t feel them much at all, and when I did it was very random. It was quite stressful really after my experience with my eldest. I was always quite anxious and worried constantly.

Both babies were born perfectly fine. My eldest still had loads of energy and my youngest really only moves if they have to.

However, any worries about anything, no matter how big or small. Always get yourself checked out.

23 weeks with an anterior placenta and I feel it move nearly every hour, however can be different when I am very busy.
Usual times are 4am, 7am, I think around lunch time and then 6pm and 8pm. But as soon as I sit down in between, I feel it as well.

I am not quite sure when they will see you for reduced movements, I thought not before 28 weeks?

I find all this very stressful, too. I am 27 weeks, and I have no idea what my baby's pattern is!

32 weeks and no pattern. When asked about movements today I said this to the midwife, the sonographer and the consultant and they all paused slightly before nodding and moving on. I know it’s normal to expect this because baby’s positioning will affect what I feel due to my scar tissue. As long as I feel her often I’m reassured. When I think it’s been a while I’ll get a cold drink and see if that moves her. No pattern does stress me out a little though.

I’m 26 weeks with an anterior placenta and I’ve been getting so stressed about movements over the last few weeks as they differ so much each day! A midwife I spoke with at around 23 weeks said to expect to feel baby at least once a day but not to get bogged down with any kind of pattern. I had my 26 week midwife appointment yesterday and she basically told me to chill. She said that baby can move around so much still and if facing backwards, it will limit what I can feel. She again said that I shouldn’t be too concerned about a pattern just yet and to maybe expect that from around 28 weeks. If you’re ever concerned though, definitely go to get checked (I’ve been to triage twice) x

I'm 26 weeks today with an anterior placenta. Typically feel her moved a couple of times around lunchtime (if I'm not busy and walking around a lot), a flurry of movement around 7/8pm and again at 10/11pm. Seen the midwife once for reduced movement at around 24 weeks, maternal and fetal assessment unit said they would only see me after 28 weeks and before that I'd need to see the midwife. Midwife tried to send me to Mafu but I said they'd told me to contact midwives so she (reluctantly) saw me.

I'm 26 with an anterior placenta. didn't feel at all til 23 weeks. even now there's no real pattern. it depends where she is. when she's higher up i can feel her easily. when shes low i may get the odd light kick and that's it

I'm at 24+6 and track movements using an app. Rather than individual movements, I monitor for 'sessions' of movement and have noticed average daily sessions are in the range of 22-25, and there's a pattern that broadly correlates with my own daily routine and activity levels at work.
