Hello,

I am hoping to get some guidance as I am really worried. I had my bloods done which confirms blood type etc at the first midwife appointment on 11/10 and I hadn’t heard anything from my midwife. I got a letter today for an appointment on 30/11 to come with a list of medications and that an appointment has been made for me. It don’t say what for, I said I had asthma at my midwife appointment and I am now worried as not sure if it’s to do with bloods or something else?

Has anyone else had this before.

Who is it with?

How many weeks will you be at the time of the appointment?

It was a doctor or a member of their antenatal clinic team it says this when I searched for the doctor have special interest in high risk obstetrics.’ I manage patients with various medical problems in pregnancy, i.e. SLE, cardiac, renal, asthma etc. I also have an interest in foetal medicine.’ I would be 17+4

Sorry this message didn’t come out properly.

I will be 17+4. If there was something wrong with bloods would I have got contacted sooner?

You would have heard something about your booking bloods by now if something was wrong.

Just sounds like you've been identified as a higher risk pregnancy, no doubt due to your asthma. So you'll have some consultant input with your pregnancy. Check the medications you're on are safe, who to contact if your asthma worsens while pregnant sort of thing. Nothing to worry about. Just making sure you and baby stay healthy.

Yep just sounds like an intro appointment for consultant-led care. Routine. You would have been told if anything had shown up in the bloods.

I was booked in for an appointment like this when I said I had asthma. It was with a dr at the hospital in antenatal team. Complete waste of time. It's apparently to decide if you are classed as high risk or not based.
I had a 10 min chat, told them what medication I took and was told I wasn't high risk and would just carry on with midwife as normal.

Hi All,

Thank you all so much for this really reassuring. I was surprised they weren’t going to do it over a telephone call to be honest as my asthma is controlled.

Hi, I recently had my bloods done at my booking in appointment with the midwife on 3rd march I havent heard anything and it's now 27th march and there is nothing on my online pregnancy notes....it's making me thinking there is something wrong because it's taking so long for the results......if there was something wrong with my results would someone have got in touch with me?

Cakecakecheese · 27/03/2022 18:36

@Boopsy89 if there was something wrong they would have let you know. When is your 12 week scan? I got my results then. If you're concerned give your midwife a call.

Boopsy89 · 27/03/2022 18:46

@Cakecakecheese I had my 12 week scan....I am 13 weeks today and nothing was mentioned there either. I've tried contacting my midwife over the past week by email text and ringing but not received responses from any of it. I can't remember what she said about the results but I'm hoping that if there was something wrong that they would of contacted me by now with it being just over 3 weeks ago?

Hello I am looking for some opinions/guidance.

my baby is coming up 10 weeks. She had her jabs just over a week ago.
I have found since then (may just be a coincidence) that she has been a little bit more fussier during her feeds. Prior to her jabs she was feeding like a dream; finishing off the 4oz bottles and near on finishing 5oz so much so I thought about upping her bottle to 6oz.

at the moment she has got a 5oz bottle and is getting down to 60ml and showing no interest in having the rest. I leave it for 10 minutes and try to get her more, although she does take the bottle she doesn’t seem fully comfortable or that she is enjoying it as much as before.
I have found she is dribbling her milk out a bit on the rest of the 60ml and makes a clicking noise with her tongue when feeding. I am not sure why she has changed in her feeding habits.

she does usually have a bottle 7 times a day and sleeps from about 1030pm to 4:30am.

has anyone else gone through this before? Or have any tips.
