Yay a Glasgow thread! I'm 9+2 weeks. Before covid we were hoping to move to South Lanarkshire to be closer to family to help with childcare- still in Glasgow because the housing market is pretty terrible! We did go see a house in uddingston yesterday though, although is moving while pregnant the best plan? Confused

unknownscot · 24/10/2021 11:40

I'm in Clarkston.
Does anyone know of any pregnancy yoga classes or such?
For those early on in pregnancy - have you told your GP? I contacted the midwife booking line but haven't told my GP.
X

lovescaca · 24/10/2021 11:41

Hi, I'm in Glasgow 4 weeks and 5days.

Tofu35 · 24/10/2021 12:52

@unknownscot I contacted my GP who said I should just call the midwife number. When the midwife was taking my details they asked for my GP practice and that they would let them know.

One of my friends used yogabellies for pregnancy yoga, think they're southside?

JenniferR2021 · 24/10/2021 13:17

I contacted midwife on Tue as I was 6weeks they just asked some details and what hospital I would like go go to I picked southern she said someone will be in touch soon for an appointment.

I have my midwife apt on Tuesday. I just phoned and self referred, then the midwife contacted me with my booking apt, no scan yet right enough. Hopefully soon, I'll be 11 weeks on Tuesday.

Tofu35 · 25/10/2021 17:48

Don't know about anyone else, but I'm swinging from being repulsed by food (cried into my baked potato yesterday) to really wanting specific fast food. Today I'm getting a taco mazama burrito. It's all I've thought about all day. Can't wait!

JenniferR2021 · 25/10/2021 18:11

MazIsWin22 · 26/10/2021 23:17

I'm alittle later along but I'm also from South Lanarkshire haha. I'm 23, have a wee girl at 13 months old and due my second born in January (currently 29 weeks) Grin

lovescaca · 27/10/2021 15:03

Hi, has anyone had cramps in early pregnancy. I'm 5 weeks and feel like I have this almost constant ache in my tummy and lower back, it's quite mild (like my periods are about to start) but then has a few high of being a bit sorer then calming down. Could this just be stretching etc .

SanDiegoSunshine · 27/10/2021 15:21

I’m from Newton Mearns but currently living in London. I’m 29 weeks, missing home like mad. Been away 16 years but since being pregnant missing home and my family so much. Hormones perhaps!

SanDiegoSunshine · 27/10/2021 15:23

@lovescaca yes I had this from 5 weeks until 11. It’s honestly normal. Unless it’s accompanied by bleeding or anything else it’s not anything to worry about. You’ll likely find it’ll just ease off and one day they’ll disappear. I called nhs 111 and said to just take paracetamol if it was uncomfortable.

So hard not to worry though isn’t it

lovescaca · 27/10/2021 15:44

@SanDiegoSunshine

Oh it's so hard not to worry. This is my second and I don't remember worrying like this with my first. Took me 3yrs this time so I think I'm extra sensitive Confused.

itsmschanandlerbong · 27/10/2021 18:01

@lovescaca I had the same early on, it's totally normal but it does make you worry a bit!

JenniferR2021 · 27/10/2021 21:20
