Full Bladder 34 Weeks?

Has anyone else been told to have a full bladder for a 34 week scan? Having my low lying placenta checked again so not sure if it's something to do with that?

My scan letter for 32 weeks said I only needed a full bladder if I had a low laying placenta :) if that's helpful x

My letters all said to but it wasn’t necessary. I asked once and the midwife said it’s just something they put as standards It’s only really 12 week they need it to help them see.

I had a scan with the consultant today and he advised me to come with a full bladder to my 34 week scan. I'm 32 weeks currently. Can they not see the placenta position properly on an empty bladder?
