12 Week Scan Sex Predictions

Hi all,
We are finally expecting our first baby after over 2.5 years of trying, and just before we were due to start ivf. I am beyond delighted!
We had our 12 week scan at the weekend and thankfully all is looking good so far. We won’t be finding out the baby’s sex but, just for fun, I am loving guessing what it might be based on the nub theories etc. Would love to know what your predictions are!

I am rubbish at these so won't bother you with a guess but just wanted to say congratulations what timing!?

@JuneySunshine Oh thank you so much, I’m still in a state of disbelief if I’m honest, I had lost hope that we would ever manage it without assistance! I don’t even care what sex the baby is, I’m just excited and can’t stop looking at the photos 😂 x

Delighted for you. And I know the feeling, I'm 19w so coming up to the next scan but still look at my last photo at least twice a day :)

Congratulations! I'm rubbish at these but I'm going to guess girl as it looks similar to my 12 week scan.

Girl. I'm right every time I've guessed !

Look at the nub. It's more likely to be a girl because of the nub position. Our sonographer told us that the nub theory does have some science behind it apparently. But it's still not 100 percent. We had a nub in this position and our sonographer said that it's 60 percent a girl and it was a girl.

@DandyLyon thank you! I have been saying since we got our positive that I feel like it’s a boy but that’s only because I can’t help but refer to it as a ‘he’, and it’s also making me eat myself out of house and home so it’s already taking after its father haha!

@KeepSmiling89 ooo interesting, thank you! I have gone from avoiding looking at other people’s scans to actively hunting them out for comparisons!

@fussytodd I had been looking at nub theories and was struggling to see any boy stacking but wondered if it was just a bit too early to tell. I’ll have to remember to come back in 6 months’ time to let you know if you’re right!
