hello! this is my first pregnancy and my baby is due in 5 days but has not dropped at all! has this happened to any one else...and is it significant or not?! does it mean that i'm going to be really late or can the baby not fit? any comments would be a great help, thanks to all!

I have read that in first babies it can happen from 36/38 weeks that the baby drops but then it can just happen when you go into labour - there are no hard and fast rules - hopefully you are one that the baby drops in labour!!! Lucky you only 5 days left - best of luck

has the mw said anything? i'm due on Saturday so we're probs about the same, my fist so I'm not an expert, I've been 3/5s for weeks and from what i know it doesn't really make a difference as said above - good luck x

My bump never dropped with DD1 (or DD2 for that matter) my waters broke at 37+5 weeks and she was here 5 hours later.

I wouldn't worry unduly about it.

My sis and I don't seem to have babies that like to engage.

Go with it, it means you won't have the constant bearing down feeling that a lot of pg woman get - very uncomfortable..... apparantly!
