At what point do you switch from conception supplements to pregnancy supplements?

Hi ladies :)
I got my BFP yesterday at 10dpo. AF still wouldn't be due for 3 days.
Just wondering, should I start taking pregnancy supplements straight away? Or should I stick to the conception ones while it is still very early and the baby has only just implanted? My ttc supplements are the Pregnacare ones (and contain the 400 micro grams of folic acid).
Thanks :)

Congratulations! I would use up the ttc supplements and then move to the pregnancy ones. You're getting the folic acid so it will be absolutely fine.

Pregnancy ones as soon as you get a bfp, no need to change sooner.

Add in some omega 3 if you don't eat much fish too.

I'm 19w and still taking pregnacare conception ones as I had already bought them! I looked on their website and contents are exactly the same as the pregnancy ones so use them all up!

@JuneySunshine

Yep, I also saw that the ingredients are the same, just slightly different quantities of the ingredients (except folic acid, it's 400 mcg in both). It seems the TTC ones generally contain more of everything... not sure if that's a problem though

@bluegrass1 Oh I didn't spot that! I did mention to my midwife and she said use them up, as does the pregncare website so sure it's all good :)

Ooh interesting.. could you link me to where it says that on the pregnacare site? :)

'Once confirmed you are pregnant, you can continue to use any remaining tablets, before taking Pregnacare® Original, Plus or Max.'

Congratulations OP. Wish I'd have know about this as I took one pregnacare conception tablet from a new pack and found out I was pregnant the next day 🤦🏻‍♀️

That's exactly what happened to me! Am a bit uncertain because I miscarried in August so am keen to take extra precautions with this one, hence why I bought Pregnacare tablets instead of just Folic Acid.. but also don't want to waste this big pack of expensive supplements!

Personally I didn't finish my pre-conception pack (still have a pack and a half left) and moved onto pregnacare max at around 7 weeks.

Background:we conceived our first cycle but had been on preconception for 3 months prior to TTC. AF was due I "felt"'pregnant and only wanted pregnacare max. DH didn't want me to stress so split the difference and bought 2 pre-conception and one MAX.

The expiration dates are long so I'll use preconception for baby#2.

Do whatever you want and enjoy your pregnancy.
