Acid Reflux Issues

Hi
I am suffering from terrible acid reflux. Early July I suffered ectopic pregnancy and was given mtx shot. Around August, I started getting terrible acid reflux. I feel like both are related. Burning in the chest and stomach, left arm paining, back and neck pain. All the pain is on my left side. GP gave Omeprozole which didn't work on it's own so I started Gaviscon with it. I also started watching my diet and doing some exercise to help. It worked within a month after which I started reintroducing some food that I wasn't eating while watching my diet. It all started again this week. I have been scanned for gall stones and kidney stones and I don't have that. Are there any remedies you guys opted for which helped in a similar situation? My GP keeps giving Omeprozole which is not much help. Thanks in advance!

They switched me to pantoprazole while pregnant. I had to cut out all acidic foods (like tomato sauce which made me sad)

I feel your pain! I was told omeprazole was the only safe one to take during pregnancy by my GP and gaviscon of course! I was taken off pantoprazole when I started TTC.
I suffer from reflux normally, but a few coping techniques;
Smaller (but more often) portions.
Lower fat intake
Elevate the head of the bed
Sleep on your left hand side
Reduce caffeine & red meat.

Keep a food, exercise & symptom diary and see if you can find a link.

Peptac, it forms about half of my diet at the moment.

Thanks lovelies. It's been a real rollercoaster! But glad that some handy tips are out there that I will surely try. Just a matter of finding out what works.
