Free fluid behind womb- 8.3 weeks pregnant

Hi guys

I've had my first ultrasound for reassurance as I was getting a few left side pains
I saw the little heartbeat

Couldn't see my right ovary, but saw the left one fine.

They have said that I have free fluid found (pod) pouch of douglas

The sonographer said it wasn't anything to worry about at the moment, but everything looked good and he showed me the heartbeat on screen. Never told me what it was or hear it as they don't advise that this early.

But its worried me. Should I mention it to the midwife? Has anyone else had this?

It was all rectified in my 12 week scan. :) apparently it's just some fluid from ovulation. Currently 37 weeks pregnant and expecting soon.

Thank you @Hollylil just got the same note today and I panicked (6 weeks 5 days).

Hi. I also have this, had two early pregnancy unit scans as had pains and everything looked fine but free fluid in pod. I noticed the amount of the fluid, judging by the report, has increased. Did anyone ever explain what this was? I asked the nurse and she said to wait until next scan which is in a week and a half and said might need antibiotics or might not, but I'm worried if I do and wait that long it will affect the pregnancy,
